MoEF&CC, New Delhi visit to ENVIS Centre, Kohima, Nagaland


               In order to evaluate and review the Plan Schemes, comprising Central Sector (CS) and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) of the Ministry, implemented in the State of Nagaland, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change constituted a committee under chairmanship of Dr. (Mrs) Anandi Subramanian, Sr. Economic Advisor, MoEF&CC. The committee led by Dr. Anandi and two other officials - Shri S. Kalal, Deputy Director, PC Division and Shri Kumar Rajnish, National Programme Coordinator, ENVIS Cell, MoEF&CC arrived in Kohima on 3rd June, 2016 and visited ENVIS Centre, Kohima.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Vizovol Mekro, ENVIS Coordinator and Honorary Director of NIHESW. Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Neikesalie Nicky Kire, delivered the welcome speech. Dr. (Mrs.) Anandi on her opening remarks mentioned that the current financial year 2016-17 is the last year of 12th Five Year Plan and hence the visit by the Ministry.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Shri M. Lokeswara Rao and Dr. N. Senthil Kumar IFS [CF (STC)], were among other officers who attended the meeting. Shri Temjenyapang IFS [CF (Pub & Trg)] acted as the Nodal officer and liaised with all concerned, while Shri Raj Priy Singh, DCF (Hq) was assigned as the escort officer to the Senior Economic Advisor and her team during their stay in Kohima.
